Yes, there are a lot. We're hoping we'll find a Drupal module to have the site 
pull the Meetup or Facebook feed/event list to automate that one. We already 
use dcphp.net as a "planet dcphp" to aggregate member sites.

There are 4-5 of us that have creds for the Twitter account and we just use 
that for announcements.

Finally, the Google group is just for discussion. I suggest people start there 
and with Meetup. The other things are "nice to have's".
