I had already joined the listserv, but it hadn't occurred to me to send an introduction email. Since I see you guys have copied this list on this email chain, I'll do that now: Hi, I'm Brian Johnson. I live in Colorado Springs, CO. And, I recently decided to start a PHP user group here, despite having no idea what I'm doing. The user group does indeed have a meetup page: https://www.meetup.com/PeakPHP I scheduled the first meetup for Dec 13, and set some recurring meetings for the second Weds of each month. Eric - thanks for the tip regarding Thomas Rideout. I'm definitely excited to learn there's someone w/ some experience in the neighborhood. --Brian [email protected] On Wed, Nov 8, 2017 at 7:07 PM Eric Van Johnson <[email protected]> wrote: > > Brian - > > Yes to echo Cal's advice join the mailing list. > > Thomas Rideout (@realrideout on twitter) is a co-host of mine on PHPUgly. > He lives in Colorado Springs and will be very excited to hear this and I am > sure would be more than willing to do a talk or to.
