The last few months have been someone up and down for the UG, and I think it's because the members are at different levels of involvement. We have a few that are members of our FB page, our Google Groups, and actively watch our website. We have some that only do FB, some that only do the GG, and then almost none that follow in Twitter (which is understandable, I've gotten bad at updating it). The one company in the area that does heavy PHP work isn't interested in working with us really, despite some employees there wanting to join. I've been kicking around some ideas to maybe kickstart the group again. *Changing from PHP to a general Programmer's User Group* PHP is the underdog in the area, with most of the programmers being Java or .NET. While I'd like to keep everything PHP focused, a cross-language group might be better than nothing, correct? Has anyone else done this? Any thoughts? *Less Frequent Meetings* I've also thought about going from monthly to either bi-monthly or even quarterly, with one or two Eat and Greets in between. I might use something like Eventbrite to handle RSVPs. *Restricting Information Sources* Like I said, we have a website, a FB page, a Google Group, and a Twitter. Should we cut down? Are there any good services out there that allow me to update multiple sources? I'm not above building something if it helps. Thanks everyone! -- Chris Tankersley http://ctankersley.com 419.785.6408
