Thanks for asking. :)

It is my intent to gather enough demographics on the mailing list members
so that I can send targeted emails on a regular basis encouraging people to
attend their local group. If I can get zip-codes for all the US members, I
can send an email at least once a quarter for all the people on the Nomad
email list in the Miami area encouraging them to attend the next meeting
and give the meeting details. As soon as I reach 1,000 I will start this
program.

Additionally, conferences that have supported me in the past, conferences
like SunshinePHP, will have access to the full list to send an email or
two, to promote their event.

I am firmly committed to growing the "involved PHP Community" and whenever
possible that will mean encouraging people to attend local meetings and
getting involved with their local group. However, it has to be acknowledged
that some people either can't or don't want to attend a local user group;
Nomad is for those people. We need to offer them a place in the PHP
community and be able to let them know when there are other events that
would benefit them.
