Hi! I just joined the mailing list today.

I'm Jeremy Lindblom. I work at Amazon Web Services on the AWS SDK for PHP.
As of about 2 months ago, I lead the Seattle PHP Meetup Group (
http://www.meetup.com/php-49). We have 1000+ signed up on Meetup.com. About
500-600 on our mailing list. About 100 ACTIVE people on the mailing list,
and Anywhere from 20-40 attendees each month to out meetups.

I am really looking for ANY advice, so if you have some links to general
guidance for running a group, that would be welcome.

More specifically, I would like some advice on establishing a good rhythm
of meetups. It seems like this past year, the meetups have all come
together almost at the last minute, and sometimes we have to change our
plans when we can't get a speaker. What have you done that has helped you
establish a good schedule?
