Hello everybody,
I'm Francesco Fullone (@fullo on twitter) and I run the Italian PUG
(@grusp, it's a non-profit association) we have more or less 300
members and every year we organise two international conferences:
phpday.it and jsday.it

Since we were a maling list only user group, two years ago we started
the "local pug project", right now the GrUSP manages 12 smaller PUG
dislocated from Turin to Milan, Rome, Padua, Bologna and other cities
in Italy. Each PUG has from 10 to 50 member and each month they
organise a meetup. The GrUSP, then, helps one of them to coordinate
every two months a vertical conference (in italian) in a different
city. In 2012 we did a ZendFramework conference and a Symfony2
Conference and for 2013 we planned both of them plus a Wordpress and a
Magento conference.

We also help other association to organise their conferences (like
nodejsday, nosqlday, etc), we translated php and frameworks
documentation and we wrote a couple of books (in italian).
