At sdphp, we actually don't allow much posting to our mailing list. For recruiters/businesses looking for developers we have two ways. 1) We charge a very nominal fee to post on sdphp.org (which I mention to our group all the time). 2) I ask that a recruiter sponsor food at our meetup and they get 5 minutes to address the group that shows up. The money from the job postings goes towards group costs which is mostly food on the nights that we don't have a food sponsor.
