It's definitely tough to figure out the right process for it to work for
everyone since we are so different from each other. Personally, being
"behind" in points wouldn't discourage me but only motivate me to
participate more, but that's just me, having a highly competitive
personality trait. =P

What if this started out with open discussions with new members in your
meetup to discuss in what ways we can help make them more active in the
community? (I see that several of you have already brought this up at your
user group). I would love to get some feedback on that in private. =)

My next meetup is on May 12th and I'll make sure I ask for some thoughts
from our members in terms of "gamification" and "activeness".
