My fears, and why I can't +1, are:
* Who will hold the "keys to the kingdom"? Because this could take a
great deal of management.
* How would someone be "vetted" if they ask to join? #coolkids
* A private list, while allowing open communication withheld from our
UG members, would promote an atmosphere of exclusion into something
that should be open and free.
* This would introduce politics into an area of PHP that has not had
this in the past.
