TAB Nomination: Theodore Ts'o

I've been working on the Linux Kernel since 1991, and over the years,
I've worked on the tty layer, the serial driver, bottom-half interrupt
handling, /dev/random, ext3, and other subsystems.  Over those years,
I've also been passionate about making the Linux kernel deveclopment
something that developers as well as companies would want to
participate in.  To that end, I was one of the founding board members
of the Free Standards Group, one of the predessor organizations of the
Linux Foundation, and I organized the Kernel Summit so that the top
kerenl developers could meet face to face, since there's something
magical about meeting face to face and breaking bread together that
can't be replicated with e-mail and IRC chat conversations.

More recently, I was the primary author of the Linux Kernel
Contribution Model, with the goal of encouraging companies to be
enthusiastic about allowing and supporting their engineers to
participate in the wider Linux development community, and not just
focus on pushing their company's pet projects.

If re-elected to the TAB, I would continue to work on enabling
develoeprs to be more effective, whether it is by collaborating
together at events such as Linux Plumbers and Maintainers Summit, or
by encouraging companies to provide more support to the Kernel
development community.
