I'm curious about your "subscribers.d/email_list.txt".

In the Mlmmj-installation that I manage the files looks like that:

> ~ » ls subscribers.d 
> 6  a  b  c  d  e  f  g  h  i  j  k  l  m  n  o  p  r  s  t  u  v  w  y  z

Where for example the file "a" contains all addresses starting with "a" 
and so on.
