I think that for many people, the following goes:

    Do whatever you feel like doing, as long as it doesn't break the
    things that *I* am interested in.


For example, I can't wrap my brain around iterators. But I don't mind
you putting them in, as long as the rest of Perl keeps working as it did
before.
