OS X 10.6.2 - CPAN preferences have moved...

I'm trying to figure out how to restore the old path to the CPAN preferences because it seems to have changed recently.  Which file do I have to edit?

NEW:  /Users/[USERNAME]/Library/Application Support/.cpan/
OLD:  /Users/[USERNAME]/.cpan/
