I think it was just a funny combination of wording.

Few.  Maybe it would be better to have titled it "junior programmer" and 
then in the body say:

  This is a entry-level position so inexperienced applicants are welcome.
  Because it is entry-level, the pay will be lower than market average.

Careful what you say.  You don't want to state that you explicitly want 
young applicants!  Saying junior or entry-level is ok, saying _young_ 
could get you in some legal trouble.
