Description:
For the BMBF-funded project “CLARIN-D (Common Language Resources and
Technology
Infrastructure - Germany)” the BBAW invites applications for the
position of a researcher / software developer.

Responsibilities:
+ further
development and refactoring of the quality assurance software for digitized
and annotated full texts (DTAQ), including documentation and public
software distribution) developed by the German Text Archive (DTA,
http://www.deutschestextarchiv.de/) and scientifically deployed in the
context of CLARIN-D
+ modularisation and integration of individual
components (text/image view, editors, ingestion of new documents into the
DTAQ system) in collaboration with the BBAW CLARIN-D team.

Desired skills:
+ university degree in computer science or an equivalent subject;
+ very
good knowledge of the programming language Perl;
+ demonstrated experience
with the Catalyst web application framework, using DBIx::Class or a
comparable ORM together with Template Toolkit or a comparable template
engine;
+ demonstrated experience with code management tools (version
control, software deployment, test environments);
+ familiarity with
Linux-based environments;
+ sufficient knowledge of English or German for
scientific communication;
+ very good communication and team skills;
+
desired are: knowledge of XML processing (XML::LibXML, XSLT) and GUI design
technologies (HTML5, Bootstrap, jQuery).
