Description:
Visma provides software solutions that cover HRM, Talent Management and
Payroll solutions with a diverse customer portfolio. Visma Labs is a team
of more than 200 talented professionals in Latvia. We develop test and
support business systems, as part of an international organization.

Currently, we are looking for an experienced Perl Developer who will join
our Riga team to work with an international talent management service named
Visma EasyCruit with more than 600 customers from the private and public
sector.

Key responsibilities:
- Be part of a Scrum / Kanban team and
actively take part in developing Visma product
- Develop and maintain
application software working with established processes
- Estimate work
effort with task breakdown, and verify approach and estimates with
supervisor and team
- Collaborate with development team conducting code
reviews and providing improvement suggestions
- Cooperate efficiently in an
international environment with a team of strong professionals

Desired skills:
Job requirements:
At least 2 years of professional experience working with
Perl, including:

Application:
Perl 5.20
Apache 2.7 + ModPerl
Debian OS
Memcache

Database:
MySQL 5.6.23
InnoDB storage engine

As an advantage
Previous experience with .NET and AWS
Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Jenkins
Deployment on EC2 instances and AWS ECS

Personal skills:
Good, written and
verbal English skills
Enjoys working in the team and international
environment
Analytical thinking and self-driven
