Description:
SSAI is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Climate Science Branch
of the NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC). The candidate will support
software development on the Time Interpolated, Spatial Averaging (TISA)
team for the Clouds and Earth’s Radiant Energy System (CERES) Project. The
candidate will participate in the redesign, implementation and maintenance
of the processing software and support tools for the project. The candidate
will ensure usage of state-of-the-art software development approaches to
improve the current operational systems and tools.

Desired skills:
Requirements: 
MS degree in Computer Science or BS Degree with at least 3
years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience
Experience using scripting languages, such as Perl or Python
Experience using C, or C++ for object-oriented programming
Experience
developing software in a Unix/Linux environment
Experience with batch data
processing in Cloud or Cluster computing environments
Experience with
version control systems
Knowledge of proper code documentation practices
