Description:
Experienced Perl programmer needed to write embedded scripts to retrieve,
update, and report on data in a database, interoperate with current and
future third-party systems via APIs and webhooks, generate web forms, and
modify other Perl-based components of a large Perl + PHP + JavaScript
browser-based education management system. SQL expertise and JavaScript,
HTML, and CSS knowledge are needed. PHP programming and Linux and Apache
admin experience a plus.

Small company, casual and friendly atmosphere, 100% telecommuting, one
company meeting per week. Emphasis on practicality and satisfying customer
requests while preserving stability and maintainability of the core
software. Projects are variable and require research, problem-solving
skills, and ability to understand complex systems. Linux development
environment built around Git and make.

Desired skills:
Perl/SQL primarily, JavaScript/HTML/CSS secondarily, PHP and Linux/Apache
admin nice to have.
