LenderX, a leader in appraisal software technology, is expanding its
software engineering department!

Do you have experience developing Perl web applications? OUTSTANDING. Skip
the rest and send your resume.

This position is remote, with the bulk of the engineering team based in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Typical schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (US
Central Time), Monday through Friday. Modification to the schedule may be
considered for the successful candidate. Some weekends and evenings may be
(infrequently) required for events such as scheduled releases, maintenance,
etc..

A bit about us how our team functions: We=E2=80=A6

=E2=80=A2 develop on Macs
=E2=80=A2 live in Slack (and use MS Teams for meetings only)
=E2=80=A2 use Docker locally and Git for version control
=E2=80=A2 are deployed on Linux on AWS
=E2=80=A2 use the Atlassian (Cloud) suite of Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
=E2=80=A2 deploy with Bamboo (and have recently begun using GitLab for new
projects)
=E2=80=A2 are Perl shop, first and foremost, in the early stages of migrati=
ng in
the direction of Python microservices
=E2=80=A2 have no silos, as everyone that has anything to do with the tech =
stack is
on the same team reporting to the same person

Your responsibilities will include:

=E2=80=A2 Develop quality software and web applications
=E2=80=A2 Analyze and maintain existing software applications
=E2=80=A2 Design highly scalable, testable code
=E2=80=A2 Discover and fix programming bugs
=E2=80=A2 Collaborate with an experienced, remote, agile team
=E2=80=A2 Create innovative solutions to meet our company's technical needs

Desired skills:
8+ plus years related experience and/or training
OR
Bachelor=E2=80=99s degree from an accredited four-year university plus 5 or=
 more
years=E2=80=99 experience
OR
equivalent combination of education and experience

5+ years of experience with

=E2=80=A2 Perl application development
=E2=80=A2 Apache and/or NGINX
=E2=80=A2 Postgres, MySQL, Sybase, or similar databases
=E2=80=A2 Git or similar version control
=E2=80=A2 CI/CD pipelines
=E2=80=A2 AWS deployments
=E2=80=A2 Linux

Bonus points for experience with:

=E2=80=A2 Modern Perl, Moo, Dancer2, Mojolicious, and/or Catalyst
=E2=80=A2 ExtJS, React, AngularJS, Ember, Backbone, or similar Javascript
framework(s)
=E2=80=A2 SQL
=E2=80=A2 Python
=E2=80=A2 DevOps
=E2=80=A2 testing frameworks
