Description:
A key role within a skilled technical team. Critical for the successful
implementation and ongoing improvement of the customers’ e-commerce
solution.

- The primary objective of this role is to help develop new versions of the
company product to enhance functionalities, increase performance, simplify
the maintenance, bug fixing and extend integration capabilities
 - Fully understand customer requirements, design and implement solutions
in a generic way, in order to avoid bespoke development and add value to
the company platform instead.
- To assist other members of the team for the customer e-commerce
implementations 
  - Initiative and participation are required to constantly improve every
aspect of the service supplied to company’s Customers
 - Adopt established processes for a consistent and high quality
implementation and constant improvement of the service

Required skills:
- SQL
- Apache & mod_perl
- Version Control System (e.g. CVS)
- Experience working with Linux
- Attention to details
- Self-motivated and initiative
- Very organised
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to automate common tasks
- Customer focused
- Understands and uses time management

Desired skills:
- Refactoring & Software Component Testing
- Perlpod
- XML/XSL
- SOAP
- Database administration (e.g. PostgreSQL)
- Educated to degree level
