Description:
A seasoned application developer for the Single Broker Dealer (SBD) team.
Candidate must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and interested in market
data. Candidate should have strong experience in the development of GUI
applications.

Main Duties / Responsibilities: 

Design, Analysis, Development and Testing. The candidate would be expected
to carry out all steps of the development lifecycle to deliver new GUI
releases 
Design solution to work on a UNIX platform
Documenting the solution • Unit / system / regression / performance testing
those requirements 
Liaising with team and project leads to formulate solutions from
requirements that fit well with existing architecture and development
philosophy 
Working with the team and project leads during the UAT stage
 Supporting the implementation of each new code release, until ASG
handover. 
Must be able to communicate effectively with other development team
members, other project members, managers and users,
Must be able to participate in technical discussions within the development
team, communicating any issues that have a project-wide scope to the
necessary level. 
Must be able to participate in a culture of “knowledge sharing” within the
development team. 
Must be self-motivated, setting a high level of professionalism and
excellence. 
Should have a good appreciation of the software quality lifecycle, with
emphasis on the importance of the testing stages. 
Must also be able to maintain the project standards and ensure that they
are adhered to, as well as proactively trying to add to these standards
whenever possible. 


Required skills:
Required Skills:

Unix/Linux  (5+ years), Extensive Perl experience (5+ years),  Strong
Sybase/RDBMS development experience (5+ years), html  (5+ years),
cgi/mod_perl  (5+ years)  Strong  GUI interface design skills.	Good
communication skills - written and oral.  Experience in the financial
industry is an asset.
