Description:
ireland.com is seeking a web developer with 5+ years experience with PERL
and XML. We're looking for a full-time Perl developer to join our small
development team on-site to help support and enhance our website.

Primarily working on a new project involving multiple large repositories of
XML files and image files, which will make heavy usage of the AxKit
platform.

Required skills:
- 5+ years of web application development experience.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- expert in PERL, XML, XSL/XPath, mod_perl, and SQL.
- expertise with web technologies (XHTML, CSS, RSS, JavaScript).
- working experience with Oracle and Apache.

Desired skills:
- AxKit and/or Cold Fusion experience a major plus.
- working knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and shell scripting.
- experience in designing distributed systems is beneficial.
- knowledge of large scale document management/search systems and
meta-information schemes a plus.
- excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- excellent analytical skills.
- ability to work on your own initiative as well as, as part of a team.
