We have been an all-Perl group for over 7 years, and currently power many of the search engines across CNET Networks, such as those on CNET.com, mySimon.com, ZDNet.com and Search.com. Required skills: Proficiency with Linux, Apache and Perl is vital. Must have a passion for providing users with excellent search results. Desired skills: Experience with search indexes such as Lucene, and databases like mySQL is a plus. Knowledge of mod_perl, HTTP and HTML is also desired.
