Description:
Rider University – The Office of Information Technologies’ Applications and
Web Services group seeks an Application Developer to develop and support
web applications and systems supporting identity management.  Selected
candidate will develop, maintain and enhance application code for web
applications supporting university business units.  Individual will also
provide technical support to OIT staff, management and users in the
performance of their business unit requirements.  Will be asked to respond
effectively and timely to issues.  Must acquire a detailed understanding of
the applications and business operations to increase timely response.  

Bachelor’s degree or any combination of related education and experience
required.  Excellent communication skills – verbal and written, and ability
to work on multiple tasks during the same day.	Will have working knowledge
and 2 years of hands-on experience developing web applications using Perl,
SQL, Java, WebObjects and HTML.  Knowledge of relational database structure
and design, preferably Oracle and SQLServer, necessary.  Knowledge and
understanding of trends and issues concerning web based applications,
portals, object-oriented programming and identity management.  Demonstrated
knowledge of Unix scripting.  Effective communication and teamwork with OIT
team members, management and users.
