Responsible for the development of the current and future state infrastructure architecture technology roadmap and execution path in support of the businesses. In addition, this position will help define system and operational requirements that the computing infrastructure must support, and identify, analyze and address any inter-dependencies and interfaces on the infrastructure.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Leads the strategic infrastructure architecture direction by clearly promoting defined vision, strategy and culture for architecture across the company.Develops architectural principals, design patterns, frameworks, standards, and best practices that will be used and implemented by the application delivery team.Identifies and promotes opportunities for cross-business sharing, re-use of technical components, portfolios and integrated architectures.Provides guidance on architectural modeling, high-level business modeling, system designs and integration testing approaches.Participates in and leads the long-term evolution of the system architecture both application and hardware based solutions.Develops alternate utilization of applications & technologies to improve identified performance issues.Participate in vendor and technology selection process.Establishes strong working relationships with application programmers, business analysts, members of the Information Technology team.Supports certification of the appropriate infrastructure configurations (builds) that support business/applications.Assists with management of technical delivery to internal and external customers.Communicates risk, issues, assumptions and concerns to the management team.Participates in the planning of system releases, iteration plans and the deployment of the systems.Establishes audit objectives and devises audit plans to ensure continued proper software usage and deployment.Identifies ways to assure new project initiatives do not create additional application/infrastructure complexity.Maintains confidential patient medical information and pricing information adhering to HIPAA (45 CFR 164) as it relates to this positions routine access to and disclosure of protected health information. Maintains a professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks. Required skills: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- MUST HAVE 3+ years of solid experience with PERL. Education, Training and/or ExperienceBachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous work experience in developing or working on Service Oriented Architecture, Application Architect or Enterprise Architecture preferred. Seven to ten years of experience with UNIX Systems, Perl, PL/SQL, JAVA, SUN Solaris, and Oracle. Familiarity and work experience with Apache, Red Hat and various Operating systems (Windows, Unix, Lynux), Oracle/SQL Data Base and Network preferred. Experience with growing company who migrated legacy applications to the next level of scalability and use.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics1. In depth knowledge of infrastructure and technology including SUN, Microsoft and their corresponding product suites.2. In depth knowledge of application development and distributed processing environments as well as application analysis, relational data modeling and design and programming techniques.3. Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhering to strict timelines.4. Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.5. High degree of initiative and independent judgment.6. Well-developed analytical and problem solving abilities.7. Strong attention to detail.8. Able to write reports, business correspondence.9.
