Description:
The Web Programmer develops, tests, maintains, and supports
high-performance, innovative, web-based applications and is responsible for
analyzing and troubleshooting complex software problems and providing
solutions.

Responsibilities/Duties: 

Design, architect, and implement back-end applications for internal and
external websites 
Maintain and support existing projects 
Coordinate with Content team to organize and aggregate data used on
websites 
Document projects and internal architecture for reference and support 
Provides recommendations for application and system improvements. 
Keep up-to-date on current web technology and trends as resources for
future systems design and implementation 
Integrate systems with internal company databases and applications 
Provide guidance and assistance to other company departments in their web
development needs 
Provide phone and e-mail support for clients 


Required skills:
Minimum Requirements: 

Minimum five years experience developing web applications 
Expert knowledge of web programming languages, primarily Perl and PHP 
Experience with Linux and Apache servers 
Has a strong knowledge of developing web sites and distributed applications
using a variety of technologies 
Reports to Website Manager 
Superior organization and task management ability. 
Ability to communicate ideas clearly 
BA/BS degree
