Our best known sites include NationMaster.com and Factbites.com. We are looking for a perl programmer to extract data from various sources and help maintain and develop the perl backends for our large-scale consumer websites. Required skills: * Advanced Perl - particularly in data processing * Experience with web-based agents (bots) * Experience with CPAN * MySQL experience * Experience in installing executable software within a linux environment calling them from within Perl code * Some understanding of statistics * Web experience * Good communication skills * Pragmatic approach Desired skills: Any experience you have in bots, natural language processing, data mining, stats or PHP will be put to good use.
