Critical for the successful implementation and ongoing improvement of the customers e-commerce solution. - The primary objective of this role is to help develop new versions of the Company product to enhance functionalities, increase performance, simplify the maintenance, bug fixing and extend integration capabilities - Fully understand customer requirements, design and implement solutions in a generic way, in order to avoid bespoke development and add value to the Company platform instead - To assist other members of the team for the customer e-commerce implementations - Initiative and participation are required to constantly improve every aspect of the service supplied to external Customers - Adopt established processes for a consistent and high quality implementation and constant improvement of the service Required skills: Essential Soft Skills - Highly motivated and pro active - Attention to detail - Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment - Ability to automate common tasks Essential Technical Skills - Excellent understanding and experience of technology and development cycles - Object Oriented Perl - Familiarity and experience with architectural issues - Unified Modeling Language (UML) - Apache & mod_perl - SQL - Concurrent Versions System (CVS) - Experience working with Linux Desired skills: Desirable - Experience within the e-commerce industry - Educated to degree level - Experience in liaising with remote teams If you would like to apply for this position, please email [email protected] and include your salary expectations.
