SUMMARY: 

We are looking for a Perl Developer to work as part of our client services
team that will perform all tasks associated with the full system
development life cycle on customer projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

DUTY 1: 

Develop Perl based customer applications for client projects. This involves
interacting with the Internal Account Managers as well as clients in
collecting the requirements and converting the requirements in to designs
and finally in to quality code. 

DUTY 2: 

Troubleshoot issues with client programs running on a Perl based messaging
platform. Generate reports for marketing metrics for the existing client
programs. 

DUTY 3: 

Review programs developed by fellow members of the team and implement best
practices for programming. 


Required skills:
QUALIFICATIONS 

• Demonstrated ability to solve complex application problems independently.

• Work with team to implement customer business requirements for web based
applications. 
• Write code to develop assigned features; deliver quality product in a
timely manner. 
• Proven technical skills in analysis and design for complex systems. 
• Ability to work with both internal and external customers and meet
project deadlines. 
• Effective written and verbal communication skills required. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

• 4+ years experience implementing web technologies, experience using Perl.

• BS or MS in computer science preferred or equivalent experience. 
• Participated in at least 5+ full life cycle web development projects with
Perl 
• 1-2 years of experience with RDBMS technologies such as Oracle and SQL is
required. 
• Experience with XML, XSLT technologies is required. 
• Knowledge of J2EE, JDBC and web technologies such as JSP, Servlets is a
definite plus. 
• Professional services background is desirable. 
• WAP experience is a definite plus. 


LANGUAGE / PLATFORM SKILLS: 

• Perl 
• HTML, Javascript 
• Linux/UNIX 
• Shell scripting 
• Web Services/SOAP/WSDL 
• Apache Web Servers 
• Oracle/SQL 
• DB2 knowledge is a plus 
• Java/J2EE/Servlets/JSP- is a plus 

Desired skills:
 Knowledge of J2EE, JDBC and web technologies such as JSP, Servlets is a
definite plus. 
• Professional services background is desirable. 
• WAP experience is a definite plus.
