Description:
Are you a software engineer with experience developing high-volume,
mission-critical applications who used to be a systems and network
administrator? Or maybe the other way around? We're searching for someone
to help maintain and enhance the proprietary monitoring, systems
management, reporting, and server/application deployment systems that help
us run our large-scale (hundreds of servers), geographically-distributed
Debian Linux and Solaris environment.

Required skills:
•	Fluent Perl, including OO and CGI or mod_perl, skills. Experience
with POE, LWP, XML::*, and Log4perl a plus. 
•	Basic knowledge of common networking protocols (SMTP, FTP, HTTP,
DNS). 
•	Excellent SQL skills, especially mySQL. 
•	Top-notch analytical and debugging skills. 
•	Strong foundation in CS fundamentals (BS or equivalent experience).

•	Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. 
•	Superior self-management and organizational skills. 


Desired skills:
•	Basic sys admin skills on Debian Linux and/or Solaris. 
•	Basic working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and equipment
(routers, switches, firewalls). 
•	MySQL DBA experience a huge plus.
