Posted: December 14, 2006 Job title: Research Systems Analyst Company name: Federal Reserve Board Location: United States, D.C., Washington Travel: 0% Terms of employment: Salaried employee Length of employment: 2 years Hours: Full time Onsite: yes Description: The Research Systems Analyst uses standard statistical and computer programming techniques to assist higher-level technical staff in the implementation, maintenance, and support of automated distributed processing systems and their components. Primary responsibilities for this position are the development and maintenance of programs, policies and procedures to create accessible versions of research documents for posting to internal and public websites. The RSA will analyze new content for conformity to established accessibility requirements and process content files to create versions which meet these requirements. The RSA will work with Board research staff and consult with Board accessibility specialists to improve the quality of submissions for automated processing. Required skills: Required: Perl scripting skills and familiarity with regular expressions. Working knowledge of standards compliant HTML (W3C). Desired skills: Highly desirable: Familiarity with word processing programs and languages, especially Word and LaTeX, and with document preparation software such as Adobe Acrobat. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of WCAG guidelines or Section 508. (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
