Description:
The Senior Systems Developer will be responsible for helping to drive the
continued evolution of our internal and external applications. The job will
involve working with the existing system developers in producing new
systems. The role will evolve as the needs of the growing business change
and there will be much opportunity for making a significant impact on the
daily working lives of many people.

Required skills:
*Excellent programming knowledge of at least one major language, e.g. Perl,
Java, C, C++, Ruby, C# (Perl is preferred as all current systems are in
Perl)

*Excellency in Object Oriented programming techniques

*Excellent database knowledge


Desired skills:
*Good knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum

*Good knowledge of web application frameworks (e.g. CGI, JSP, etc.)

*Good knowledge of HTML with basic JavaScript or VBScript skills

*Good internet knowledge

*Ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a hard working
team.

*Ability to manage own work and meet deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic
environment.

*Strong desire to learn and drive the efficiency of the European business
