RE: "Can't bless non-reference" error, bug or not?

For the Linux, I used Redhat6.0, gcc (egcs-1.1.2 release), Perl5.005_03
and jdk1.1.8. I didn't compile Perl from source. The JPL::JNI is compiled
and installed well, but it got core dump when it was loaded in Perl with
"use JPL::JNI". I will debug it late on when I get time.

What I am trying is the second way to use JPL (embed Java in Perl). But at the
README file, it said 
"At this point, the second way is the only way to use JPL under Microsoft
Windows. Oddly enough, this is the only platform under which the second
way works!"

I am curious if someone has tried some platforms other than Windows for the
second way to use JPL.

Can you give some details of how you compiled it (which C compiler, which
version of Perl, Linux, etc; did you compile Perl from source, etc.)

as220.org was moved to a new server and we forgot to move the CVS archive 
(sorry about that!). 

I'm waiting for someone with physical access to the old machine
(flatzilla) to boot it up and get me a copy of the CVS archive so I can
set it up on the new server (gumzilla).  When that happens, we can work
out a way for you to have access to the CVS archive.
