Hi,
I am attempting to use JPL on Solaris 2.8 with Perl 5.6.0 and jdk 1.3.
I have built Perl non-threaded, dynamic loading, not binary compatible with
5.005. Perl builds without difficulties and JPL seems to build and
install OK. Except that Sample fails with the message:
Testing Sample...
+ cd Sample
JPLDEBUG=1
+ export JPLDEBUG
+ java Sample
init
# # An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the
VM.# Program counter=0xfada5680
#
# Problematic Thread: prio=5 tid=0x28250 nid=0x1 runnable
#
Abort - core dumped
Couldn't run Sample
#
If I attempt to run the test.pl script in the JNI subdirectory, I get:
# perl test.pl
1..3
JVM_ARGS=classpath .:/export/home/lee/src/perl-5.6.0/jpl/lib
:/usr/java/classes:/usr/java/lib/classes.zip!
ok 1
Segmentation Fault - core dumped
# rm core
#
I am sorry if this is old-hat for you, but any information/assistance
you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
