Submitting patches?

I'm attempting to get JPL to play nice under FreeBSD and I'm working out
some of the Linux, Solaris, and mistaken Perl assumptions to make it work.

It seems to build now (FreeBSD 4.1, Perl 5.6.0, JDK 1.1.8 (green threads)),
although I'm still working through the Sample piece (which dies with a
missing symbol link error in libawt.so).

In any event, I'll have some patches to submit soon (mostly makefile fixes
and such, for now).  Should I post them to this list or...?  Is there a
pumpkin holder for JPL ala p5p?

Also, my reason for wanting JPL personally is that I'm attempting to create
a Perl DBI driver (likely called "DBD::JDBC") that could utilize any
available Java JDBC driver simply by naming it in the DSN ala the DBD::Proxy
driver (although hopefully faster and more complete, enough for production
use).  CPAN has a module to try and use Perl DBD drivers from Java, but not
JDBC drivers from Perl (that I could find).

Does anyone know of such a project? -Basically, please stop me if I'm
reinventing a wheel here. :-)
