Writing! scores?

Hey everybody,

I was just wondering if there is some module existing which could write
a score into a gif file (like Sibelius does...) or which creates proper
HTML.

I started something like that in PHP (with Perl) and it seems to work
for Rhythms but it gets complicated like crazy - so I was wondering if
something like that already exists...
