Example of online MIDI through Perl at looknohands.com

This is what I wanted to use Sean Burke's MIDI Perl Modules for (see link 
below), but I couldn't figure out how to set up the modules on my local 
machine so I could work with them.

Is there a quick-start guide of some sort?  I did follow the installation 
instructions but got stuck at the 'make' command.  Is this for Unix/Linux 
only, or should I follow different instructions for getting it to work 
locally on a Windows machine?  And once I have developed my script and ftp 
it to the server that runs my site, should I copy the MIDI Perl Modules over 
along with it?

Anyway, what I am trying to do is really quite simple for now.  I just want 
to play a single guitar chord.  However, for more advanced features I need 
higher level control over writing the MIDI file than manually coding every 
single MIDI event. I assume that is something that the modules would prefer.

a guitar chord finder.  Just pick any chord from the drop down lists and hit 
the play button to hear it.

Thanks for any feedback on the page and any hints on how I might use the 
MIDI Perl Modules for this instead.
