On writing scores using PERL

I am exploring a music typesetting program called MUP
which can be downloaded from http://www.arkkra.com/

I joined this list to learn more about MIDI::Perl because
I want to write a script that opens a MIDI file and extracts
sufficient information	to create a music score.

I would leave the graphical representation of the score
to a dedicated program whether it is MUP, MusicText,
etc.
