Do we know WHY it took 82 seconds to commit the files?  I'm not sure 
we want to simply hand-wave Arthur's bad day and say "OK, svn sucks."

I'm really uncomfortable with p4 and its proprietariness, both in the 
software, and that we Mere Mortal p5pers are stuck with the odd 
snapshot, and can't get at the repository directly.  I'd really like 
to be able to SEE revision histories of the files.
