Oh, good point. That would be evil. Then I'd have to remove all my
scripts!

Amen. I agree, and would not want to imply otherwise. I think that the
authors of this stuff would (mostly) agree that they are rather
outdated, and it would be rather unfriendly to remove/move it without
talking with them about it. I had in mind that it would be mandatory
that we contact the original author before taking any action, but I
guess I never said that.

Yes, such a disclaimer would be useful. That's sort of what I had in
mind in some of my previous comments - provide the "new and improved"
way of doing things along with the legacy script.

There are also URLs in several of the archives that are dead, and it
would be nice to correct or remove these.
