Sounds like you don't have SDL_TTFont installed or configured.  It'd be nice 
to have SDL_Perl build separate .so files for each of the optional libraries, 
so it's not an all-or-nothing compile-time deal, but managing multiple XS 
files is sort of a hassle.

Posting the exact text will definitely help.
