They've gotten that way. The company I worked for had a branch in Vietnam, 
Ho Chi Minh City in fact. Some of their people would come to the states to 
work on projects. We never talked politics and they were typical nerds, 
leeching the corporate broadband to watch Vietnamese videos.

One guy who I'd worked with made a last trip to the US with his fiancee. 
Their destination was Australia. Just another young couple chasing the 
dream, rather than evil Communists.

It was a bit strange considering my government had done its best to send 
me off to kill their parents. Also several of the other employees were 
Hmong that had relocated here after choosing the wrong horse and having to 
get out of Dodge.
