RE: sample reports or sql queries

Thanks to every-one responding, 

you've forced me to learn some PHP (I actually prefer Python) but I'm
getting on to those reports now. 

So Chris do we pass these on to you ?

I've seen this discussion previously, but I would like a normalised version
of the one table currently used. Are there any decided standard for
normalising this table (agreed by the community at least) ? If not would
any-one be interested in such a layout (I'm working on one). 

The reasons I ask this:
 - There are certain things that will not be praticle from the current table
(I would like to extract search engines and search phrases used and cater
for that in my design).
 - If Chris is going to host a number of queries in the FAQ,  If there are
some people interested then we could also submit queries from a standardised
normalised database structure.
 - I don't want to run reports from the logging database, I'd rather have a
cron job sending the data elsewhere daily, that way I can keep my logging
database smallish, and not affect it when doing reports etc...


I would gladly write Python to populate the normalised version from the
current, although I suspect the group would prefer perl or PHP :-)

Hello.  I'm afraid that I know of no repository of these things, although 
many of the power users on the list may have some favorites that they will 
gladly share.

Which hits upon an idea:  I will gladly author a new section in the FAQ 
for such queries and gladly credit the author.  If you have a really handy 
(simple OR complex) query that you favor, send it along!
