Steve, have him open the project, duplicate a track, reverse the new track,
save the project, delete the new track, save again.  Does the project reduce
in size then?
(Basically, trying to force compaction.)

We have a report on the forum of a 200MB project (expected size) having a
saved file size of 1350MB.

On opening the 1.35GB project and saving a backup copy of the project, the
backup project file is under 200 MB, which is about right for the amount of
audio in the project.
