Re: saving file (MP3) every hour or per 'x' megs

If you try saving a lot of audio data while Audacity is recording, there's
a high chance that it will interrupt the recording because the hard drive
will be busy while Audacity is needing to write data. That may not be a
problem, as I'm guessing that no-one will ever listen to the entire 24 hour
recording, in which case you could use a program such as AutoKey or
AutoHotKeys to program a series of 24, 1 hour recordings.

My best recommendation to minimize the chance of losing data, would be to
use (at least) two machines, and preferably at least one that does not rely
on a computer.
