A WAV *is* an ISO file as far as audio CDs go. An audio CD is basically just one long PCM audio file with a table of contents telling the player where the tracks are. If you rip CDs to a single WAV with a CUE sheet you can reproduce an exact bit-for-bit copy of the original CD.
