Perhaps you should nominate Yahoo for Sainthood. Yahoo provided the servic=
es they did to draw in users who they could market to and otherwise try to =
gain benefit. If there is no contractual agreement to provide these servic=
es then they have the ability to discontinue it, their rights to end the se=
rvice is a completely different notion the implied relationship to the user=
s to be a dependable partner with the users in delivering reliable service.=
This too is part of the capitalist system, i.e., customer service, suppor=
t and good will.

Capitalism at work is that the service existed in the first place. The=20
internet and just about every worthwhile service spawned from it came=20
from people looking to make money and investors willing to risk their=20
own capital on the chance of doing so. I don't know what cockamamie=20
universe people live in where they think others can afford to invest=20
their blood, sweat, and tears into producing something for others in=20
return for jack squat. Somebody has to be making money so those people=20
can eat and have a place to live, and if it's not them then who is it?
If there were such regulations no sane person would create the service=20
in the first place. Why on earth would you create something that did=20
nothing for you except open you to punitive legal action?
Yahoo doesn't owe you or anybody else anything. We were using their=20
servers and resources for free and now people want to complain when=20
Yahoo doesn't want to pay our way any more. Why does Yahoo owe it to us=20
to keep paying for our use?
