midi control, option behaviour

hello,

i spent about an hour trying to find why midi control was not working with the following ecs file :
# ecasound chainsetup file
# one file for all channels & submixes
# nothing is connected to hardware by default, relies on jack.plumbing

# general 
-b:128 -r:50 -z:intbuf -z:nodb -z:nointbuf -n:"mixer" -X -z:noxruns -z:mixmode,avg -G:jack,mixer,notransport
[----cut----]
-a:mic_diane_to_main -f:f32_le,2,48000 -o:jack,,to_bus_main -ea:100 -km:1,0,100,40,1
[----cut----]

and invoking with : ecasound -s  mixer.ecs -Md:alsaseq,20:0

After a lots of tries, i finally moved the -Md option INSIDE the ecs file like this :
# ecasound chainsetup file
# one file for all channels & submixes
# nothing is connected to hardware by default, relies on jack.plumbing

# general 
-b:128 -r:50 -z:intbuf -z:nodb -z:nointbuf -n:"mixer" -X -z:noxruns -z:mixmode,avg -G:jack,mixer,notransport -Md:alsaseq,20:0
[----cut----]

and voilà =!

Is there a reason for the option not working from the command line option after the "-s mixer.ecs" ??
