I have your setup but am on PT 7.4. i tried Logic 8 for a bit but it was too slow and a bit buggier than 7. I'm back on 7 and use spectrasonics stuff with DTDM all the time. i would say my system is far from stable though, probably 2-3 random crashes a day, sometimes more, sometimes less....very usable though and I make a living on it. I'm currently checking out Cubase 4 as an option hoping to gain some stability....so far so good....testing out running the coreaudio outputs (from a motu 2408) into PT and having PT open simultaneously using it as a digital mixer where I can sum Cubase, my hardware synths, and my Giga PC's. and then bussed back into cubase for mixdown. -j On Aug 30, 2008, at 10:17 AM, r657004 wrote: > Hi - Anyone using this set up - Powermac PPC dual 2.7 G5 Logic 8.02 > PT 6.4 Accel 2 using > Logic TDM & DTDM for the use of Logics plugins and 3rd party plugins? > I thought i was being normal here, but when i asked Spectrasonics > about this set up they said > it was "not supported" so I presume I should be using TDM and / or > Core Audio.
