Unitor8/AMT8 odd problems

Dear all,

I've recently purchased the latest MacPro which I uses with a Magma Expansion chassis connected to my PT HD|3 on Logic Pro 8.

While I was always using 5 Unitor 8/AMT8 (3 cascaded togheter and 2 cascaded together) on my G5 which was working without a problem I have some odd situations on my MacPro:

Having 3 Unitors linked together Logic recognizes them as 1 with 24 ports. To make sure which one is Unitor8 number 1 and 3 I test the instruments physically connected to the interfaces. The odd situation is when I physically connect a midi instrument to port 3 (that the MacPro--> Logic) sees as port 3 and no sound comes out... Just to be on the safe side I decide to change port from 3 to 19 (Unitor8 nr 1 to nr 3 same port) and I get a sound.
So I thought that I either got it wrong with the port (i.e. connected physically to the wrong midi port or got it wrong on which Unitor is the first or the last)... So make more tests and recheck the midi connections... 

Result.. the connections were fine and I'm still puzzled why port 3 is actually port 19 and why port 4 is actually port 4 on Logic?!??

I got the latest Mididriver from the Logic 8 installation DVD. The Unitor Control software I downloaded only recognizes the first 3 Unitor linked together, but doesn't find the other 2 linked together. BTW they are connected via USB to the MacPro directly: Unitor8 1+2+3 on USB and AMT8 1+2 on another USB without using a HUB.

The OSX Audio Midi Setup sees all Midi interfaces, but the Unitor Control software not.

Any help would be very much appreciated
